PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ANNEXATION AND REZONING

Notice is hereby given that the City of Mount Zion has received a petition for annexation from Jessica Nash to annex property located at 1620 Five Points Rd., Waco, GA 30182 (Tax Parcel ID: 0370108). The property is currently located in Carroll County.

The area proposed for annexation consists of approximately 4.92 acres.

Upon annexation, the property is proposed to be rezoned from its current Carroll County zoning designation of R-4 (Residential) to the City of Mount Zion zoning designation of RD (Rural Development).

A public hearing will be held before the Planning and Zoning Commission to receive comments on the proposed annexation and rezoning on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

A second public hearing will be held before the Mayor and City Council on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
